A mailing list has been set up at Sheffield University for the disussion of Owls related topics; the list is called owls@sheffield.ac.uk
New members will in future be able to join by sending a message to listproc@sheffield.ac.uk containing the line:
subscribe owls your_name_here
Note that 'Your Name' means your real name and not your e-mail address. The e-mail address is picked up from the message header.
This should be in the body of the message -- not in the Subject, which is ignored (or sometimes rejected as "suspicious").
Please remove signatures, etc. from the message as they generate annoying error messages.
